Adam Goldstein Connection: Following the Digital Breadcrumb Trail of Gunter, Newton & Mule - Permit Number 41

Updated: Aug 13

A review of 2026 Cape Coral campaign-finance records, Florida corporate filings, business records, and documents obtained through public-records requests raises a question worth asking: Why do the campaign operations of John Gunter, Dave Newton, and Ray Mule repeatedly intersect with the same small group of marketing, printing, and political-advertising businesses, and why does the name Adam Goldstein appear in the middle of that network?

The records reviewed do not, by themselves, prove that these campaigns coordinated with one another or that Adam Goldstein controls every company involved. What they do establish is a trail involving Direct Response in Lexington, Kentucky; 859Print Incorporated; SWFL Print/Southwest Florida Print; a Naples business address; USPS Permit #41; and Adam E. Goldstein.

The three candidates are running in different Cape Coral races, but their campaign expenditures lead to businesses connected through addresses, corporate records, and contact information. When those records are placed side by side, a pattern begins to emerge.

Then There Is Adam Goldstein

Florida corporate records provide an important starting point. The corporate record reviewed for 859Print Incorporated identifies Adam E. Goldstein as the company's President and registered agent. Its principal address is: 1925 Trade Center Way, Suite 1 Naples, Florida 34109. That address becomes important because it repeatedly appears in Cape Coral campaign-finance records.

The Better Business Bureau also identifies Adam Goldstein as a partner of 859Print and lists the company as a Lexington printing business. So we already have two geographic points worth watching: Naples, Florida, and Lexington, Kentucky, and Goldstein's name appearing in the business records surrounding the operation.

Now follow the campaign money.

Following the Campaign Money

The campaign-finance records show three separate Cape Coral candidates using marketing and printing vendors connected to this trail.

John Gunter → 859Print

Gunter's campaign reported three payments to 859Print Incorporated at 1925 Trade Center Way, Suite 1, Naples:

  • $805.10 — Digital Advertising

  • $6,574.10 — Direct Mail

  • $975.96 — Digital Advertising

Total: $8,355.16

Florida corporate records identify Adam E. Goldstein as President and registered agent of 859Print Incorporated at that same Naples address.

Ray Mule → SWFL Print

Mule's campaign also reported payments to a vendor at 1925 Trade Center Way, Suite 1, but under the name SWFL Print.

Three expenditures in the July 18, 2026 report totaled $5,577.06, and Mule's campaign history shows additional payments to SWFL Print for marketing, digital marketing, media data, and other campaign-related services.

So Gunter's campaign paid 859Print, while Mule's campaign paid SWFL Print, two vendor names leading to the same Naples address.

Dave Newton → Direct Response

Newton's campaign reported two $6,600 payments, $13,200 total, to Direct Response, located at 157 Venture Ct., Suite 4, Lexington, Kentucky, for marketing. Direct Response's website lists adam@directresponseky.com as a contact email and describes the company as providing printing, direct mail, and related marketing services.

The records reviewed do not establish that Adam Goldstein owns or controls Direct Response. However, the connection is worth examining because Florida corporate records identify Adam E. Goldstein with 859Print, while Newton's Lexington vendor publicly uses an Adam contact email.

Permit Number 41

A USPS Freedom of Information Act response obtained and reviewed for this investigation identifies the holder of USPS Permit Imprint No. 41 as: SOUTHWEST FLORIDA PRINT LLC 1925 TRADE CENTER WAY STE 1 Naples, FL 34109. That's the same Naples address appearing in the campaign-finance records. The records reviewed therefore identify multiple business names at or associated with this location:

  • 859Print Incorporated

  • SWFL Print

  • Southwest Florida Print LLC

This does not automatically mean all three names represent the same legal entity. Businesses can operate under DBAs, maintain related companies, share facilities, or conduct business from the same location. But the USPS record is significant because it independently identifies Southwest Florida Print LLC as the holder of Permit #41 at 1925 Trade Center Way, Suite 1, the same address appearing repeatedly in the Cape Coral campaign-finance records.

When different business names repeatedly appear in political campaign expenditures at the same address, and an independent federal record connects another version of that business name to the same location, the common address becomes an important fact worth investigating.

Put It All Together

The documented trail looks like this:

  • John Gunter → 859Print → 1925 Trade Center Way → Adam E. Goldstein

  • Ray Mule → SWFL Print → 1925 Trade Center Way

  • Dave Newton → Direct Response → Lexington → adam@directresponseky.com

And USPS Permit #41 → Southwest Florida Print LLC → 1925 Trade Center Way. Three candidates running in three different Cape Coral races, multiple marketing and printing business names, the same Naples address appearing repeatedly, and a Lexington marketing company using an Adam contact email.

The records do not prove that Gunter, Newton, and Mule coordinated their campaigns, nor do they establish that Goldstein owns or controls Direct Response. What they do establish is a financial and corporate trail that raises a legitimate question:

Is Adam Goldstein simply a vendor connected to several unrelated political campaigns, or is there a broader marketing operation behind these overlapping businesses, addresses, and campaign expenditures? We don't have that answer yet. But campaign-finance investigations often begin exactly this way: follow the names, follow the addresses, follow the vendors, and most importantly, follow the money.

The paper trail gives us plenty of reasons to keep digging.
