LEGAL TROUBLES/HISTORY
JOHN GUNTER'S LEGAL AND FINANCIAL HISTORY
John Gunter's public record spans decades and includes numerous legal and financial matters.
In 1994, court records show that John Gunter faced multiple criminal charges, including assault, battery, malicious destruction of property, theft, and disorderly conduct. During that period, he was reportedly known by the nickname "Mad Dog."
Court records also show that Maryland authorities repeatedly pursued legal action against Gunter for unpaid state taxes, resulting in multiple judgments over more than a decade. Those documented judgments total $28,633.69.
In 2014, court records indicate that Midland Funding LLC filed suit seeking to collect an outstanding Chase credit card debt of $8,093.62. Court records further reflect that service of the summons was unsuccessful.
In 2023, Gunter was named in an automobile negligence lawsuit arising from an incident involving a Cape Coral Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram dealership vehicle.
In addition, Gunter purchased a high-value boat, reportedly worth approximately $1 million, and registered it in Delaware rather than Florida. That registration has generated public scrutiny and questions regarding the associated tax implications. A complaint regarding that matter has been submitted to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) under Report No. FM-73-1075.
