Jocelyn Ruth Agbay is Richard Erickson's half-sister.
Litigation History:
Following a prior court victory, Jocelyn Erickson sought to enforce an existing judgment against Richard Erickson. In the earlier action, a Florida court entered judgment in her favor for $119,981, plus applicable interest, after determining that Richard Erickson and Norsemen Ops, LLC, had filed fraudulent construction liens against her properties. The court declared the liens unenforceable and awarded monetary damages.
After the judgment remained unpaid, Jocelyn Erickson filed a separate action in January 2025 seeking to enforce the judgment by foreclosing a judgment lien against two properties owned by Richard Erickson in Cape Coral and Fort Myers, Florida. The action sought to satisfy the outstanding judgment through the sale of the properties if authorized by the court.
The foreclosure action was ultimately dismissed without prejudice on July 17, 2025. The court did not reach the merits of the enforcement claims, instead concluding that Richard Erickson had not been properly served with the lawsuit despite additional time being provided for service. Because service of process was not completed, the case was dismissed solely on procedural grounds.
Importantly, the dismissal did not vacate, modify, or invalidate the underlying judgment awarding $119,981 plus interest. Because the dismissal was without prejudice, the enforcement action may be refiled if proper service is completed.
